17th September 2010

Members of WAMTA are warmly invited to attend a concert of Baroque music on 17th September at the Callaway Studio, UWA played on period instruments by an ensemble including early music specialists with extensive European training and experience.

The Recorder and Early Music Society of WA has engaged these three Early Music luminaries as principal tutors for its annual residential music weekend, this year being held at Muresk 24th – 27th September and we very much look forward to hearing them in this concert of English and French music the week before.

Visit www.remswa.iinet.net.au for more information or click here to try booking for
low-cost online bookings.

3rd October 2010

100th Anniversary of WAMTA is this year.

Dear Members and Friends

The West Australian Music Teachers’ Association (Inc) is celebrating its 100th anniversary on October 3, 2010. We are marking this splendid occasion with a concert, the launching of the book “What harmony is this?” written jointly by Dr Ronda Jamieson and David Hough, which is the updated history of our Association, the oldest music teachers’ association in Australia. This will be followed by a reception which will give you the opportunity to catch up with old friends and to purchase the book.

The book will be available for sale at the $40
