Student Forum is a friendly, non-threatening performance opportunity for all students. It gives parents the opportunity to further encourage their child(ren), students the chance to develop confidence and increase/enhance their performance skills, and teachers the opportunity to see how their students handle public performances.
All students should be accompanied by an appropriate adult.
Teachers must be present to support their students.
Please be aware of laws relating to the use of copyright music. Photocopies of currently published works are not permitted under copyright laws.
Student Forums are performance practice opportunities. Students are expected to dress appropriately for performance. In particular, older students are role models for younger students. As such, beach style attire such as shorts, thongs and torn jeans are not considered appropriate performance attire.
All students are given a program and are encouraged to announce their own name, title of piece and name of composer, and are expected to acknowledge the audience at the end of their performance by bowing.
Students and audience members should remain for the whole program so that those at the end actually have an audience to hear their performance too.
All entries for Student Forum should be sent no later than the Wednesday preceding the concert.
All members will be sent an email containing a trybooking link. Please "purchase" a free ticket and enter the necessary details.
We look forward to meeting many of you and your students over the next year.
